Rapture

In “The Power of Myth”, Joseph Campbell famously writes: I don't think [the meaning of life] is what we're seeking. I think [it's] an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances within our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.
“Rapture” is my attempt to capture that sensory euphoria I felt when finally landing here on the Sussex coast, observing the waves and birds and the sea. The year-long project was a leap into wild, saturated colour and the vivid transparency of coloured inks, with mixed media. Prints of Rapture are available for sale.
