Using hand made brushes from elements we will gather from the natural world, we will explore the techniques used in ink painting in a playful, guided manner. We will learn about the fascinating history of ink and its connection to our human need to express ourselves in writing and script. We will be making hand-bound artist books and larger scale pieces that you can take home and cherish. 

I have taught Art and English for over twenty years and love exploring the marriage of poetry and ink. This can create surprising and beautiful outcomes, loosening the way we make art and discovering a fluid, gentle process of artmaking. Beginners and trained artists all welcome.
